After you read the book, you'll better comprehend the multiple types of sorrow in its theory.I didn't even know that sorrow has a mathematics theory and sorrow is a vibration. It said, it is a spectrum of vibration depending in the kind of sorrow.The book also explained ,from the scientific point of view that there's no absolute or definite evidence can tell of why people always not to choose things if they knew something creepy happened, despite of the fact it happens a long time ago. And human is more inclined and have an intuitive aversion to certain things, even it's far beyond that untoward incident might happen again. This is what the book said it is a sense of vibration, and until now science has no data or can't explicitly explain about it.
I suddenly feel while reading the book that i'm so naive in such things. I will definitely put this to one of my favorite book!. From now on, I'm a fan yours Gary K. Smith. Looking forward for your next book..

This is one of the most insightful books I have read regarding the issue of depression. The color illustrations make it very easy to understand. It is not an academic paper, but a well though out presentation of what is happening in the brain during depression and how to best understand and treat it.
A very well thought-out, alternative view on all that ails us. The brain is complicated. For many, Smith's perspective might be just the way to put a picture to their emotions and present a path to improvement. Definitely alternative, but too well-researched not to be taken seriously.
I can't imagine anyone who would not benefit from reading the Mathematics of Sorrow. Not one of us walks through this life without being affected by sorrow to some degree. For many of us who have had more than our fair share, illness has resulted. I know I'm not the only one who found herself ill, went to see a doctor out of desperation and hope, only to be handed a prescription, oftentimes a harmful one, and sent out the door with nothing but a follow-up appointment and a whole lot of frustration.
