So far this is a pretty good book. I am reading through it fast. However, I do have other study material to help aid me. My suggestion is to get the flashcard system along with this book. The test taking tips are very helpful. You are provided a "guessing" system that helps with questions you do not know. The test review material presented was also helpful. The information provided for review was just enough to pass the test. The study guide recommends that, if possible, you use another test prep book. I used this book, the CRC Exam secrets flashcards (I work better with flashcards), another CRC prep book I had to purchase for class, and practice questions. I would definitely recommend another test prep book, as this guide is not always specific in regards to medical impairments, rehabilitation history, psychological theories and does not provide test questions. Overall, however, this test prep system does cover what you need to know to pass. Most of the content highlighted in the guide is on the test ... I took the test today
Lots of information. I like how it's broken down by section and the fact that there is a practice quiz makes it even better.
I have just started to review this book and already have found the General Strategies a great refresher and reminder on test taking strategies. The Secret Keys are also helpful. Even though I will not be taking the CRC exam until May 2016, I took half of the practice test. Even though I did miss quite a few of the questions, I was encouraged with my correct answers. I like the format of the book and I am sure the rest of this book will be helpful in preparing me for the exam.
It's perfect! It was very instrumental in preparing for the CRC exam! I would definitely recommend this book for anyone studying for the CRC.
I expected it to be a little more detailed. However, it does cover every area and gives you good pointers on what to focus on. How to prepare yourself especially the before you test information like find the location, don't cramp, be patient those things are important.
I rate this product a 5/5. I enjoy the format of the study guide and how it separates the subjects clearly. One of my issues were that all of the information is jumbled in my head. This helps in organizing it for me. It is clearly written and helps in grasping a better understanding of the knowledge I've already studied in other formats. I would refer this material to other students.
Great basis for building a structured preparation and review for the exam. Gives solid outlines of the major areas to be assessed, and helped me "knock the dust off" some areas I was weak on. Went on to pass with flying colors!
